Sonia

A Sonia is a traditional dagger used in the Kaveni Empire. It's a long sharp weapon designed to stab a Kaveni between his or her hard scales, after the perfection of modern weaponry the Sonia became unnecessary but the High Guards still wear it as a ornamental weapon on special occasions. A very decorated version of the weapon is sometimes worn by the rich and upper class citizens. Tradition demands that the weapon is carried under a cloth that's tied around a Kaveni's waistline, the cloth must not cover the grip of the weapon. A Kaveni is allowed to keep it in his or her home or carry it in plain sight but if you hide the weapon behind something it's a criminal act just as carrying a concealed gun is. The Sonia one of the only ways to hurt a Kaveni in a melee fight because normal combat knifes are often not sharp enough or too wide to stab inbetween two scales.
