Hollow Beam laser

The Kaveni Empire's hollow beam laser or HBL as it is often called is the main weapon of line cruisers of the Kaveni Empire Navy. The weapon uses a large round laser that is hollow in the inside to bypass hostile shields, when the laser reaches the ships hull a torpedo is fired from within the hollow section of laser. The high energy beam also protects the missile against most point defense systems.
