The 303rd Marine Shtazecai is a legendary marine corps of the Crescanian HKC, renowned for their proud history and exceptional skill and bravery. It is a unit of 40,000 men and women, and is one of the oldest units in the Crescanian military, having a history stretching all the way back to the early days of the Crescanian Unification War, at that time serving on navies in water rather than space. Even though they were transferred between fleets regularly at that time, today the 303rd are considered synonymous with the Crescanian 3rd fleet, as you never see one without the other, and both are led by the equally legendary Admiral Dech Zatzilk Jakhir

Even though they are of lower rank, the 303rd's history makes membership in this corps far more prestigious than it is for the Crescanian Legionnaires, and thus there are many soldiers in the 303rd Shtazecai that more than qualify for a place among the Legionnaires, but have declined in favour of the 303rd. This arguably makes them possibly even more skilled and deadly than the elite soldiers of the Legionnaires, though no verification has ever been made to such a claim.

Soldiers of the 303rd Shtazecai are easily recognized by the large, dark purple metallic crests upon their helmets, the thick purple stripes along their arms as well as an arm-long dark purple cape hanging from their left shoulder over their left arm, carrying the corps' emblem along with the words "Forever loyal" written in Crescanian. This cape is designed to fall off if tugged at so the marine does not get stuck if the cape is caught in tight spaces or in vegetation. Due to this, capes of the 303rd can sometimes be found where the unit has been deployed in the past, sometimes centuries ago, and are considered highly valuable war relics.
