"I have died about a dozen times. Death is quite underrated, really. It's really quite refreshing."

-Ta'vích

Ta'vích was born in 2831G.C in the slums of the city of Hasran, Cusorea, back when these slums still existed. He was the only son of Bezi Hakreya, a factory worker, former gang member and alcoholic, and his wife Sira, a former prostitute and "property" of the same gang Bezi had been in. The two lovers had fled from the gang less than a year before Ta'vích was born in order to escape the gang life. But this was not accepted by the gang, who found them and murdered both in 2839, when Ta'vích was eight years old. The gang spared Ta'vích, but forced him to watch his parents being murdered. After that, Ta'vích was thrown out into the slum streets where he had to survive by himself. And he proved very effective at it. He started pickpocketing, thieving and fighting to survive. He committed his first murder at the age of nine, stabbing a gang member to death with a crude, home-made knife. The man is believed to have been one of the men responsible for the murder of Ta'vích's parents.

Not much is known about Ta'vích's life after that, but it is known that he kept murdering and stealing and joined a gang at the age of 19. Then, somewhere between 2860-61, Ta'vích joined the Dawned Ones, motivated by a newfound religious zeal given to him by Harbinger, as well as a desire to destroy the world that had treated him so horribly. Soon, Ta'vích proved himself to be an extremely devout follower of the cult, and a very effective killer; his feelings of remorse deadened by his hatred for the entire world. Upon the discovery of mana in 2864, Ta'vích quickly discovered he was especially gifted in the usage of dark mana, much to the delight of Harbinger and of himself. However, somewhere along the way to present day, Ta'vích's powers grew all the more powerful - and dangerous to himself - as his hatred only increased, until it went over the limit. But instead of the mana corrupting and destroying his mind, for some reason, Ta'vích instead corrupted the mana. This made his powers all the more powerful, but also all the more grotesque, and at the cost of his sanity. Now Ta'vích has been effectively turned into a monster, and that is just how he wants it.

The making of the Eye of Vagora

Despite his hatred of the world, Ta'vích holds great admiration and affection, seeing him as a father-figure. Shortly after discovering his powers in 2864, he was struck with grief upon seeing his mentor falling into a minor depression as he discovered he could not use mana. Ta'vích decided to help him, and following old Croiz legends that stars contained high amounts of magic, he spent a year of study in ancient scrolls as well as spending large amounts of time studying the star Fauc. Eventually, Ta'vích discovered that stars did not contain any magical energy, but it contained extreme amounts of pure energy which could be converted into mana. Upon discovering this, Ta'vích spent three months searching for signs of a dying star. Eventually he found one in a Crescanian exploration report that told of a star having turned into a red giant in a distant star system. He hastened to the system, where he found a fleet of Crescanian scientists, dispatched to the system to study the progress of the star.

Ta'vích slaughtered the scientist team and then proceeded to feed large amounts of destructive dark mana into the star. Eventually, the mana destabilized the star and caused it to start collapsing and beginning its first stage in becoming a super nova. Ta'vích saw his chance, and used all the power he could muster from his body to surround the star with a gravitational field and compress it. He knew that failure could result in his death, but he found motivation in the thought of helping his mentor. He was eventually rewarded for his efforts, as he managed to contain the star long enough for it to become a super nova, and then surged dark mana through its core, corrupting it. No explosion came, instead the sun was compressed enough to become a black hole had it not been for the mana surging through it. Instead of collapsing, the star crystallized, becoming an incredibly light, blue ball, small enough to hold in one's hand. Ta'vích was overjoyed with his success, and hastened back to Cusorea where he performed a kind of ritual that transformed the energy inside the ball, which was still that of a super nova, into magical energy. Ta'vích then gave the orb to Harbingerm, offering it as a gift to solve his problem. In return, Harbinger offered Ta'vích anything he could wish for. Feeling he already has everything he can wish for, however, Ta'vích has still not decided on his reward.

As for the orb, Harbinger now carries it around wherever he goes, and has made him a very dangerous foe. He has named the orb "The Eye of Vagora".
