Rendon Armitage is a Mercenary, Body guard, hitman, hunter, adventurer and overall man of fortune. He is a former member of the Dark Watch, as is easily seen in his choice of armor. He is known for his association with the Black Market which he relies on for his gear and employment, but with the recent emergence into the Galaxy the potential clientele for his services has increased, and his want for adventure in the wide open galaxy has increased as well.
Description
A Caucasian man, whose descendants were obviously New Israelites as he had the odd feature of eyes with differing colors, one Green and one blue. His hair is a dirty blonde, cropped short, most likely to make wearing his power armor's helmet easier. Well toned and strong, from training and power armor use, and the most notable identifiers on his body would be a Tattoo for 10th Division in which he once served in the Dark Watch and a scar across his back from the cut of a Demon's blade. His face is well shaved, and his features are well defined, and his neck is thick from exercise.
Armor and Clothing Description
When not in his armor he wears typically what is fashionable and accepted by men of his age group, though he is mostly a minimalist and never showy in his choice of clothing. Something he consistently wears though is a Crucifix Necklace, gifted to him by his mother, it is made of silver and quite simple in a beautiful way, and has a Sapphire embedded in its center.
His current Power Armor is Mk. 1 Adv. Dark Watch Power Armor, a more advanced version with additional features such as targeting systems, additional armor and improved under armor systems. He added his own flair to the armor with Red paint marks, done like bloody hand prints.
Personality
He is a fun loving guy, with a good sense of humor. However time in the war made him hard, but he tries to have fun when he can, and with the war over he can actually continue doing so. He also has a sense for business, when its profitable of course, which is due to being born in a trader fleet.
He keeps his faith to himself, but being where e is from it is not necessary as everyone already shares the same one, but in the event he does come across individuals of a different system he leaves what he believes to himself, though he may laugh if he hears something he doesn't agree with.
As for women, he is a bachelor but is not ready to settle down yet, and so would need a woman who could "Keep up", as he still wants to have his adventurous lifestyle among the stars.
History
Rendon grew up in the small Brandburg City fleet, known for its vast majority of trade vessels, and so from a young age he got used to being on the move and learning about trade in general. As he grew he also saw things such as mercenaries and heard tale of the mysterious black market, and tales from trades of wealth among the stars in hidden places stirred in him a desire for adventure.
The war however made such aspirations difficult, and he loved his people, especially his family and so he signed up to join the Guardsmen and defend his fleet. As he was trained he had shown a certain aptitude in combat that got him noticed by the mysterious Dark Watch. That led to him being trained in the use of power armor and he ended up advancing to the point of using the Mk. II Tesla power armor and his position as a Heavy Trooper. He was especially good with heavy weapons, and also proficient with the Standard issue "Pounder" Rifle. As his career continued into the war he was lost to a Space Hulk, and assumed dead, He survived and found a small Corvette and got the ship working to escape.
After making his way back to the fleets with his unique Corvette, he began his life as a Mercenary helping those who hired him and doing mission such as retrieving items from hostile zones. Currently he is a body guard for a Black Market merchant, as it has been slow in business, but he hopes it will pick up soon.
Possessions
- Dark Watch Mk II Tesla Power Armor
- This power armor is a lighter more easily produced variant of the Larger Mk I power armor. The Tesla Technology, which was developed by James Vicariis, who was inspired by the Kurgan Tesla Technology. The Tesla field, is both defensive and offensive, as it increases energy weapon resistance (except for Lasers) and metallic projectile resistance. It can also boost the power reserves of Energy Weapons, such as Lasers, Plasma, and various other weapons that have the correct interface for the field to work. Rendon's as previously stated is customized with its own paint job.
- J&H H.I.E.R. M-17 "Pounder"
- A Standard gun of the Darkwatch. Rendon's is equipped with a Chain Sword Bayonet, and a forward grip. Rendon typically uses this weapon with its standard rounds or with Shotgun rounds which are plentiful. It is his preferred weapon in tight quarters.
- AG-3000 "Grinder"
- This Mini Gatling gun is Rendon's favorite weapon, and he uses it most when he can, he even gave it a paint job, using some flames and a Scythe painted on to the gun. He loads whatever ammo type he needs for his assignment, though his most expensive rounds are armor piercing rounds, which he uses on heavily armored or protected targets.
- NCS Solar Blazer Corvette
- This ship is Rendon's Pride and joy, it is a fairly good sized Corvette, that can hold twelve crew members, but only needs one person to pilot it. It looks fairly advanced for an New Covenant Corvette and this is due to the fact that it is a Relic ship, an ancient Prototype ship with advanced technologies on it. During his time on the space hulk this was the ship that saved his life. It was all due to the Solar Sail technology of the craft. Seeing the Sails open gives one the idea that the ship was sailing in the void, as it is literally propelled by Star light. This technology also has the benefit of 100% efficient Solar Energy collection, as well as propelling the ship. Its major fall back though it the technology is not effective outside of a star system, and cannot be relied upon for travel in deep space, luckily though this technology was not designed to be a ships only form of movement, as the ship still has the Plasma Thrusters it would be expected to have. The technology seems to be made for in system use, and used as a last resort if the Propulsion systems become damaged. With it in used, more of a ships power can go to shields and weapon, and the Solar Energy supplements the ships power adequately. Unshielded the sails are easily disabled, but the solar energy also supplements the sails own shielding to ensure it is not too easily damaged. Rendon's Ship is small, and obviously a prototype, and in being so it is a highly sought after piece of technology, the Technologis has tried many times to purchase it, but Rendon is fairly attached to his find and has always declined. His ship is refurbished to its matte black and Bronze colors. It has sufficient military grade Guns, which can easily combat and outgun similarly sized ships. Rendon has not been able to find a main weapon to mount under the ship yet, and so his broadside turrets and cannons as well as missile launchers are all he has, which is more than enough in most cases, but he could not hope to harm anything too big. This ship is his home as well, where he keeps all his belongings and how he gets from place to place.
