Information

Not much is known about the Radiant Giant, except that it is the closest thing to evolution that Angelicytes can achieve, and that it is the strongest known Angelicyte. It is worshiped as a god by many, and feared as a monster by others. There has only been one Radiant Giant before, who is dead.

Pseudo-Evolution

The process of transforming into a Radiant Giant is known as "Evangelical Pseudo-Evolution". The body of the host converts into pure energy, except for the core. Wings emerge from the core area and spear through the fabric of the dimension. One more final touch in appearance is a giant red halo overhead. There are two stages to this pseudo-evolution: the initial arousal stage and then the stage that gives the being its name, The Radiant Giant stage.

Initial Arousal Stage

At this stage, the particles within the body begin to energize with extreme amounts of pure energy. However, the body itself is mostly intact. The AT Field of the Angelicyte automatically upgrades to a 'Limitless'-Class Atzilut field. Any missing body parts such as an arm or leg becomes replaced with an energy replacement from the Atzilut field. Any monitoring lights on the body armor and restraints turn scarlet red, and so do the eyes of the being. At this stage, the Angelicyte is capable of many feats. The signature move is the eye-laser, capable of ruining entire terrains if not fired carefully. It also cleaves through targets like a hot knife through butter, ending in an explosion of energy. In addition, the beast is able to use Atzilut field-powered moves such as using it as a kinetic weapon. The defense level of the being goes up too, being able to block all but the most dangerous attacks and bombardments. Finally, the being is also capable of mental attacks and spiritual invasions. When the emotions of the being reach a critical level, it ascends to The Radiant Giant stage.

The Radiant Giant Stage

This is the max level of any Angelicyte. At this rate, the laws of nature begin to struggle to keep the being under their whims. The dimension it is in becomes under extreme peril, the presence of the being ripping apart the very seams which hold it together. Under simulations run by High Command, it is often that the user goes out of control and would have to be silenced with a Spear of Longinus. During this stage, the body transforms completely into energy particles. The being also has three eyes in an anchor-shaped formation. In addition, wings of light extend from the center of the being. At this point, it is very hard to stop the Angelicyte. The easiest thing to do would be to seize control of a spear of longinus and impale the being, instantly sending it into a coma.

Detecting Potential Radiant Giants

Detecting a potential Radiant Giant isn't easy. To begin with, they must have the correct genes. However, just because if one has those genes (ex: Isiah Luminae), doesn't mean that they are and will transform. It just means that there's a small percentage of it being possible. Once those genes are detected, there really nothing much one can do except observe the candidate(s) in battle. Extreme releases of power and obviously the transformation are the signs to look out for while in combat.

Stopping/Defeating a Radiant Giant

Defeating a Radiant Giant is not a very easy task. In fact, there is only a few who can actually stop one. This is why they are feared even by their own race. All conventional and most unconventional weaponry has no effect on it. They will simply bounce off and only earn the attacker the attention of the being. However, they have one distinct weakness: The Spear of Longinus. If one of the spears impales one, the being will completely revert back to normal and be sent into a coma until the spear is removed. Without a spear, it will be difficult. Considering they are an energy-spirit being, it would be best to use magic on it. However, you would need very strong and destructive magic, and plenty of people willing to fight.
