The Mobile Mechanized Heavy Artillery Unit, or MMHAU, is a large, highly mobile artillery platform used commonly by the Crescanian Confederacy in planetside engagements. It is a very versatile construction, with its design allowing them to operate in almost any climate imaginable, and can due to their four large legs stand steady in virtually any terrain. Their sturdy design also gives them a shock absorption high enough to allow the platform to be air-dropped from any height with the help of break thrusters placed underneath it. This allows a group of platforms to be dropped behind enemy lines, where they can establish themselves in places most ground vehicles can't reach and from there provide artillery support. They are manned by a crew of three: a gunner, a driver and a navigator.

The main weapon of the platform is a 200mm heavy cannon capable of firing high-explosive heavy shells at supersonic velocities, with a firing rate at one shell every 3,2 seconds. The large caliber of the cannon forces the platform to enter an "anchored" mode, where they dig their legs firmly into the ground before firing. The platform also have four 17mm machine guns placed in the front with a firing speed of 750 rounds/min, designed to clear out or pin down oncoming infantry in order to keep the main cannon undisturbed in its shelling. This is made possible by having the platform being made up of three sections who can all move independently of each other, and who can move without altering the placement of the other sections by a single degree. The first section is the 'base' section, where the legs and the tank are placed. The second is the 'tower' section, where the cockpit, munition store and machine guns are placed. The last is the 'cannon' section, where the cannon is placed.

The platform makes use of thick steel/titanium plating that effectively nullifies all small-arms fire and generally require several hits with heavy weapons to be brought down. All parts of the platform is heavily armored, with the crew using cameras and monitors to see outside, rather than a window of any kind. The joints on the legs, however, are the least armored parts of the platform, as such heavy armor would lower mobility severely if placed in the joints. The Crescanians partly solved this by placing monitor cameras underneath the platform with a view of the underside of all the legs, allowing the crew onboard to see any approaching hostiles who might sabotage the legs.
