This large Bomber used to be a space bomber back in ancient times though was quickly replaced by larger more effective bombers for Space combat, and it proved to be a more effective aerial bomber in the long run. Being powered by four RamJets for high speed, it is a high flying fortress bomber capable of delivering a 12,000 lbs payload, 6,00lbs in the bomb bay, and an additional 6,000lbs as wing mounted bombs. It has its own aerial defenses for protecting itself, and typically receives fighter escort for additional defense, it is usually accompanied by Thunder Fighters and sometimes Lightning fighters if not better used elsewhere. It flies in bomber formations for larger bombing runs, but can deploy individually for other engagements. It Can be deployed from space and can be launched from a runway and has an extreme operational height far above the retaliation of Anti-Air weaponry.
Use
As a Bomber it is versatile and capable of use in many types of engagements. It is most typically used in taking out important strategic points such as supply depots and enemy supply lines where they can be quickly deployed after recon has identified targets.
It is also capable of long range bombing runs of cities and other large targets an installations but is typically not considered to have a big enough payload to be effective if immediate destruction is desired, but its large payload combined with being in squads of bombers can be effective in breaking enemy moral with sustained bombings.
It is also capable of use in engagements targeting battle lines where it is forced for low flying bombings, but is considered lacking in this role and so the Striking Angel variant was designed specifically for this. The Striking Angel is more specialized in this role and is effective in taking out targets in battle zones.
