She uses her skill to bring honor to herself and her family, and to prove herself in Martial Combat over the beasts she hunts, but the money for doing it doesn't hurt as well.

Description

Hana is a Woman of Asian descent, she is not very tall standing at about 5'4". She has lightly Tanned skin, being not purely Japanese, but a mix of Philippine and Rian(People from a former NC Colony, a mostly Desert Planet). She is fit and limber and wholly unmodified, believing fully in Unaltered Human Martial skill. Her hair is black, with a blond streak down the middle, and her hair is shoulder length when put up in a bun. Her eyes, are Blue, showing her Rian descent as well, but facial wise she is Japanese. As for her accent, it is wholly typical of the New Covenant, lacking a noticeable accent.

Armor and Clothing Description

Normally she wears clothes of typical Female fashion, and it all depends on preference. For Combat she wears a skin tight suit with Protective padding in vital Areas, as well as some ablative plates of ceramic Composition, but nothing too heavy, so she can remain lithe and mobile. She does have special heel Braces that help give her a better jump and allow her to take falls and land on her feet.

Personality

She is kind and quite, keeping mostly to herself but is most talkative while cooking. She suffers from depression brought on by the loss she has been through, and avoids such subjects relating to her family, unless she desires to speak of it, but that only happens with close friends.

History

Hana is a young woman of Japanese and Philippine descent, and one of the few people in the New Covenant that can claim to have Asian Ancestry. Her family was very close and they practiced keeping Japanese culture alive, though they were Catholic, and so may be compared to Japanese Christians. Hana's Father worked as a Chef, of Sushi mostly while her Mother made other Traditional Dishes. The war put a lot of strain on their family as it did many others and her older brothers went and joined the New Covenant Guardsmen to help fight, leaving her as the last of the Tsukino Family Children.

Her Father and Mother passed on as much as they could to their daughter in terms of culture, and cooking which she enjoyed, but she was always sad as she was unsure her brothers would ever come back. Sadly though after two years, the family received Condolences from the Military and money as well as prayer notes from the Church. Her brothers had died in combat against Demonic forces, leaving her now as the only child left. Her father knowing that his sons would never come home and have a Family of their own to teach, decided it was time to pass on some final knowledge he knew. He would train his daughter in the way of the Samurai, and ensure that what he knew could be passed down.

The Following years for her was nothing but training and discipline while assisting with the family business. As time passed and she was soon becoming the Master her father wished her to be, he was finally beaten by his daughter in single combat. She used agility to her advantage and moves she had taught herself to supplement the style her father had taught her. In the end he was impressed. She was 19 years old at that time, and her father presented her with the Family Sword, it was not a traditional Katana, the Sword was in fact a Chain Sword, designed like a Katana, her ancestors thousands of years ago had the Blade Crafted by an Artisan after the original blade was destroyed in combat with a Demon. She was in awe of the Blade, it was well designed and made use of the Curve of a traditional Japanese Katana, but with the cutting potential of a Chain sword. She was happy to be presented with the blade and promised to keep it until she could pass it on to her children, an idea that pleased her father.

In the end however Hana lost her Father and mother as well, the Demonic Fleets of Caesar destroying the ship her parents were on. She lost everything in that moment, having had only the luck to be on another ship. With that loss, she became depressed and reclusive and cared not for her skills and learning. What eventually motivated her though was learning that the Blade she had been given had a twin, and it was vaguely mentioned in some family texts that the two blades together were better than either alone. She did not know what to make of this, and why her father had never mentioned this, but maybe it had been something he intended to say at a later time. She did not no where to begin to look for such a thing, but she decided that something like this blade would only be found through using her skill in combat, and she decided to best place to do that would be through the Black Market. She however would not become an assassin, it was a dishonorable path, and decided to use her martial skill to slay exotic beasts and give the slain beasts to those who would pay for them, her skill in cooking as well lead to her making food with these exotic creatures for sale, to begin to make a name for herself in the Underground until she could find someone to help her track down the second family blade.
