Power Weapons

Power weapons in are special weapons that are expensive to make. They take the form of many types of melee weapons, and their purpose is to make short work of Armor of any kind. They make mockeries of Power Armor and some well designed expensive kinds can bypass shielding, but for the most part many are unable to bypass shielding, but a strike from a power weapon is still extremely powerful so personal shielding will usually fail after a blow or two depending on the strength of the weapon or the strength of the shield. Power Weapons are Unique to the New Covenant, though the Kingdom of Edolas has Similar Weapon properties in their KeyBlades, and their Plasma Swords are essentially the same in function in regards to swords.

Power Swords

These are the most standard power weapon, they function like a sword and can come in many forms and designs,but all have the same effect. They Ignore Armor through the destruction of molecular bonds through a sustained field on the blade. They are made with multiple materials and are all well made weapons that serve to nullify an enemies armor.

Not all "Power Swords" need to have the sustained field for breaking molecular bonds, this only occurs in weapons made with materials of extreme value that have similar properties to power swords, such as slicing through armor and flesh as if they were nothing. Materials are exotic in nature and tend to be unique to the weapon, these are among the most coveted of weapons as they are wholly unique, and may never see similar creation again.

Two handed versions of these weapons are powerful and enhance the strength of the user, allowing powerful blows to be dealt one's enemies.

Power Axes

Power Axes are a heftier weapon, and can come in single hand to two handed forms. They have a similar function to Power swords, when activated they have a sustained field that cuts through Metal, and other materials with ease. It differs however in being a brutal weapon as compared to the delicacy a sword implies, and it hits harder. Its two handed variant is a even heavier weapon good for killing multiple foes in a swing and hits even harder, easily cutting deep into large vehicles.

Like Swords there are some made of superb materials that are capable of cutting through any material with ease simply due to the properties of the material of the blade.

Power Maces and Hammers

Maces and Hammers are the hard hitters of Power weapons, the Power Hammers are known as Thunder Hammers for the thundering clash they make on impact. Power maces have one handed and two handed versions, the two handed version working exactly like the Hammer. The Thunder Hammer is a two handed weapon for any user except for Juggernauts who can wield it in one hand.

These weapons differ in the fact that the disruption field only comes into existence on impact, causing massive damage, outright killing anything unfortunate enough to be on the receiving end, and being an effective vehicle killer, more so than other power weapons. The one Handed Maces however are not as effective, but are still good in infantry melee where they shatter armor and bones and flesh with ease.

Power Fists and Shields

Power Fists are power mechanical gauntlets that are piston and servo powered for extreme crushing and applying gripping pressure, allowing them to tear open armor, and they also have a disruption field that is constantly crackling around the gauntlets. These weapons are very destructive and are quite capable of destroying vehicle armor, and the enhance the users strength on top of the strength the user already has, essentially being more devastating when used by someone stronger, allowing for armor crunching blows to be dealt. A modified version of this has a chain blade attached to the underside of the fist, this type, called a chain fist is used for cutting into bulkheads and other extremely thick defense structures or armor, making this a even more effective anti-armor weapon than it already is.

Power shields are exactly that, Shields, like those used in the days of knights, except they are advanced items capable of increasing ones defensive capabilities. Power shields can nullify most damage directed at it, as a energy field sparks to life when a force is enacted on the shield, stopping dead small arms fire and heavy weapons fire as well. They however have limits on what they can defend against, and some more powerful items such as heavy cannons can not be stopped as the field would be overwhelmed.

A more powerful version of power shields are the Storm shields, which are artisan crafted master pieces that are usually unique to the person who owns it. These protect against about anything direct against it, even surviving direct artillery fire, and hiding behind the shield in the face of explosions.

Force Weapons

Force weapons are a power weapon, much like any of the above, and vary in type purely on the choice of the user. These weapons are incredibly powerful and considered superior to power weapons; However, this is only true in the event that the person wielding the weapon is a powerful psyker. These weapons are all but useless in the hands of a non-psyker, though depending on the materials used in its construction it may still prove to be a deadly weapon regardless, with its true potential being the limit of its wielders.

Due to the requisite of using such a weapon, it can be estimated that these weapons have infinite damage potential, but such power would require a god-like power source, and so a need for such a weapon becomes redundant. These weapons due have one fail safe, they are only effective when used by the psyker they are attuned to, meaning these weapons are each individually constructed for use by one person in general. This however only inhibits weaker psykers, as powerful psyker can essentially ignore the attunement and channel their power into the weapon regardless.

Certain rare Force weapons can attune themselves to their user through extended use, and the most notable example of this type of weapon is Emperor Justinian II's blade known as סלייר של שקר אלילים Or in English, the Slayer of False Idols.
