The Beyond the Wall event is a month long biennial event within AIocity held by the AIocity Firewall Activity Association (AFAA) in Cooperation with the AIocity branch of the Unanian Government. The Beyond the Wall Event has the highest popularity of all events within the Unanian Empire and as such is highly televised and participated in by many citizens within the Empire
Location
The location of the event is selected each year through auction to participating worlds within AIocity. To the worlds, the event is seen as an opportunity to bolster the economies through the tourism industry which the event brings with it. Due to this, cities go to high monetary lengths to ensure they win the rights. To keep the highest populated worlds from winning the rights every year, rules are in place which forbids a world from participating within the auction for 2 Beyond the Wall events if they have won, or hosted the event.
Event
The Beyond the Wall Event is split into several partitions. The main attraction of Beyond the Wall, titled after itself, is an adventure utilizing the wilderness space beyond the firewalls of the City-Hubs within AIcity. In which, the world which wins the right to host the event selects multiple genre of adventure and begin the process of crafting multiple story narratives around a single plot-line to be played out during the event. As the adventuring part of the event is underway, the multiple story narratives play-out and depending on how participants play; the story morphs along the paths which were planned out all the way to a conclusion. In addition to the main Beyond the Wall attraction, other attractions include competitions in sporting events which directly relate to the genres of adventure and a festival upon completion of the Beyond the Wall adventure.
