System Wide Defensive Platform

System Wide Defensive Platforms are a military structure which are placed around a star system in various orbits to allow for defensive coverage of an entire star system. Due to the high cost of System Wide Defensive Platforms compared to the Orbital variant, they are mainly utilized within systems which require high protection value.

Weaponry

System Wide Defensive Platforms are equipped with the latest of military space combat technology with each station containing a wide variety of Magnetically Accelerated, Laser and Missile weapon systems.

Defense

System Wide Defensive Platforms are equipped with both energy shields and multiple layers of hull to ensure structural integrity of the system. In addition, each platform contains Anti-debris lasers and missiles to deter large scale collisions.

Maneuverability

Although System Wide Defensive Platforms contain thrusters for movement, they are relatively immobile in combat situations due to their large mass.
