The Dread Wing is a Special tasks force that is made up of exceptional Crusaders from every Chapter of the Crusaders, they are not however in this group at the same time, Dread Wing is usually a single or a few squads at most. They are organized through the New Covenant Militaries higher Echelons, for Secret Operations that need not see the light of day or other tasks only this specialized force can accomplish.

Organization

The Dread Wing is usually a five man squad of Crusaders, each from a different Chapter of Crusaders. These Crusaders are selected for their specific skills whether it be ability to command, melee skill, Heavy weapons, Marksmanship, Stealth, piloting skills, Tech Lore and et cetera. Each member though is skilled in some way and typically they have multiple skills and fill a singular role for the team while also using their other skills in situations that require them.

The Basic Roles members can fill follow:

Tactical Crusader

The Tactical Crusader is the jack of all trades, but most typically they specialize is standard equipment, such as the Lance Assault Rifle and other weapons. They make use of grenades and mid to close range combat, and only resort to melee combat when necessary. They must be adaptable to any situation, and it is not uncommon for them to have other skills to use during an operation.

Sniper/Scout

The Scout is the stealth expert of any squad, though they are not a full fledged Crusader, their skill is still on par with there graduated brothers. Scouts typically operate individually as stealth experts, using this ability to catch enemies unaware or get into positions for sniping which is a common role for the scout, though they can specialize in close stealth assaults, and sabotage or Information gathering.

Heavy Weapons

Crusaders with a fondness for destruction often prefer heavy weapons, of the kind normal Humans couldn't hope to hold and fire on there own. They are single man weapon team, capable of laying down heavy weapons fire on a target with extreme prejudice. They can fill a few roles as fire support, Anti-Armor, and demolitions. If the Brother has earned a Crux Juggernaut, then they may use Juggernaut armor and become a mobile weapons platform, and increase their defenses at the price of speed.
