The Unatro Val, or Unatro for short is a Human Genetic Modification that enables the user to gain psychical abilities through energy manipulation. A concept once before only seen in Unanian fantasy and fiction stories. Much like the H.P.C; It is mandated by the Unanian Government that every citizen is augmented with one at birth.

Medical Procedure

The Implant

The Unatro genetic alteration is implanted into the individual through a patch and aerosol immunization system. At birth, the doctor will place two patches on the back of each hand followed by placing the individual into an aerosol immunization chamber while they will breath in the Unatro Immunization -in addition to the other mandatory Unanian immunizations- over the course of several minutes.

Upon genetic alteration, The Unatro Val will then begin to transfer specific genetic instructions through the bloodstream to alter an Empty Genome which was left over from the Anari Gies Walker Project and had been found within both Unani-Human and Unani-Fe'Juk DNA.

Development

When the immunizations and patches have been first given, the only thing that you would notice is the undeveloped Unatro mark on the back of the hand. Throughout the first two years of life, the body will continue to follow the DNA alterations which were made to develop a new organ which is held within the rib-cage under the lungs and heart. To connect the new organ to the rest of the body, when the body has completed the organ, a new bodily wiring system similar to the nervous system will begin to grow.

By the time that the individual reaches their fifth year of age; the new Unatro system, which connects the individual limbs to the Unatro Organ, will have finished its biological development. This allows the energy to flow freely throughout the body. When the Unatro System has been completed, the symbols on the back of each hand will fully unlock showing the entirety of the symbol. This visual cue is used to determine when a child is fully able to use their Unatro abilities.

Side Effects

The only known side effect is that the patch permanently imprints the symbol of the Anari Geis Walker Project onto the back of each hand. It isn't known why this happens considering the genome isn't instructed to do this upon genetic alteration. The Mark is a solid black color which varies in transparency depending on the person.

Unatro Mana

Unlike Normal types of Mana, Unatro Energy is one of the few forms that is able to be regenerated with rest. But due to being aligned with light, is considered the weakest form of mana. This isn't to say that a Unatro Energy can't beat another type of Mana user, but instead that it takes a higher skilled user to be able to.

Common Unatro Abilities

Unatro Energy has a few common Spells that mostly everyone can cast, these spells are considered low rank and everyone is trained in how to do these within the Unani Education System

• Unatro Shielding

Specialized Unatro Abilities

In addition to the common abilities, if a Unani citizen wishes to advance their abilities, they may take the optional advanced courses either as part of their college or university programs or as part of an elective at the secondary school level. When one goes in to learn about their specialized abilities, the end goal is to have the students trained in how to use their Unatros specific specialization.

Because the most common specialization is related to the Manipulation of Electromagnetic Electricity, it is the most widely known field of Unatro Energy, although because of differences in genetic traits between newborns, new forms of abilities appear every couple of years. Because of this, it is a large field of study within the Unani. The majority of the research in Unatro Specializations happens on the Academian Islands within the Unanian homeworld of Tyril. This is due to the fact that only those with a powerful or a unique Unatro ability being able to live on the island or enroll in the schools there
