Memory Fragment

Memory fragments are focused energy cores made up of residual energy from the environment around them. Many of them are weak, and end up dissipating within the same day it formed. However, there are also very strong ones that can significantly augment the power of the user. In order for someone to use a memory fragment, they must be compatible with it, usually by being related to the source of the memory fragment. However, a memory fragment that is sentient may choose its own host regardless of previous relationships.

The effect of using a powerful memory fragment is great, going so far as to quadruple someone's power. However, it also becomes a weak point as attacking the anchor point can cause great damage and pain, including possibly death. Memory fragments can combine together to form the Memory Sentience, a replication of the person memory fragments are related to. Usually these are done on purpose, left by a person of great knowledge that knew he or she would die, making sure to form the fragments to take care of stuff they wouldn't be able to finish while alive.
