"Look. Look how easily your love is shattered. All it takes is the pull of a trigger."
-Serrano
Serrano was born in 2836G.C on Salchissa, in the Croiz-founded city La Cuidad de Fuego. He was the first child of Barrano Aquila, one of the most wealthy and influential entrepreneurs on the continent, and his wife Ili. Together with two siblings, Serrano lived the early ears of his life in wealth and luxury, but he was constantly taught by his parent that the most important thing in the world was love, and that life would be meaningless without love no matter how much money you had. Serrano took these teachings to his heart, and when he was thirteen years old, he was known among the upper class as an unusually humble youngling considering his status.
However, in 2854, when Serrano was 15 years old, his father died in a sudden sickness, leaving his wife to take care of the mighty family company. Being completely inexperienced, Serrano's mother quickly realized that she was leading the company into an economical disaster, and set up a goal to keep it alive only until Serrano reached the mature age of 16, from when he could take control of the company and lead it back to prosperity, as he had proven to be a prodigy with economics and organization. She failed, and the entire company chain was driven bankrupt by a coup de grace from a rivalling company in the form of sabotage of property. The once wealthy family now lost all they had and was thrown into the streets of De Fuego. The event broke Serrano's mother, who soon developed an addiction to cheap and illegal drugs, and degraded herself to prostitution in order to pay for her addiction. She also started abusing her children, Serrano in particular, blaming him for driving the company into the ground. This made Serrano starting to doubt what he had been taught as a child, of how love mattered more than anything in the world. Ili Aquila soon abandoned her children, and died in 2861 from a drug overdose.
When Serrano was 18 years old, he fell in love with his younger sister Miria, and became ferociously defensive of her. In 2857, Serrano committed his first murder as he found out Miria was being courted by a Salchissan street boy, leading to a jealous Serrano beating the boy to death with a metal pipe. When questioned by his hysterical sister, Serrano declared his love for her, and claimed that he would do anything for her. This however only scared his sister more, who shortly after abandoned him and their sister when they slept. Upon discovering this, Serrano turned his sorrow, anger and frustration towards his other sister, leading to him brutally raping her, which made her too abandon him. Serrano saw this as proof that the real world was the complete opposite of what he had been taught as a child - that the world was a horrible place filled with hate, lies and death. For the next following years, Serrano lived in the De Fuego slums, where he used his exceptional organization skills to create the most powerful street gang in the city: La Horda.
Upon the discovery of Mana in 2864, Serrano soon discovered he was unusually gifted in its use, and he concentrated its use to make him immensely fast, even able to dodge automatic fire while standing in one place. His powers also gave him extreme stamina, allowing him to move at immense velocities for days without resting. He could fly as well if he wished, but he uses this power rarely as he stated that he "does not like flying".
These powers drew the attention of The Dawned Ones, who sent a group to Salchissa to get Serrano to Cusorea. After exterminating more than half of La Horda, the group managed to subdue Serrano before bringing him to one of their sanctuaries on Cusorea. Serrano was initially very reluctant to join The Dawned Ones, but he soon realized that he could do a far larger difference with the Dawned Ones than he could ever hope to do with La Horda. Serrano accepted, and was given the title of lieutenant. Upon the merging of the Dawned Ones and Requiem, Serrano was offered a place among the Adepts, The Demon King's most skilled commanders. Serrano is known to be the most emotionally unstable member of the Adepts, at times getting severe strokes of melancholy, depression and often begs his sister Miria for forgiveness for his past actions as if she was in front of him, showing that he is still in love with her. Nonetheless, Serrano follows the orders he is given and carries them out with great efficiency.
