Verrick is a Rare breed of Human, an AbHuman of the New Covenant, so called because they are abnormal from regular Homo Sapiens. He is not the only of his kind but is rare none-the-less. He is no mercenary, but knows his way around a forge and weapon assembly, as it is his craft, but when it comes to combat his choice is a shield and Auto-Flail a rare kind of specialized Melee weapon that sees little use besides a curiosity from the New Covenants past. His true passion is the craft of shaping rare and fabulous metals into armor or weapons for actual use or simply to hang on a wall depending on the customer. He is also an avid miner, constantly in search of rare metals for his craft and is the reason knowing how to fight has become important having to deal with pirates or strange beasts that could harm him while he tries to find the mother lode.

Description

Verric Stands at 6'2" and is muscular from his work as a blacksmith, his skin can be described as scaled and armored, forming a smooth natural armor on his body that looks like skin in color but not in texture or appearance. The armored scales become thorny and armored on the fore arms and shoulders and knees mostly from blows, heat and pressure applied to these areas frequently causing the reactive skin to reform for maximum protection. Besides the skin, the hair is also different, being made of a similar substance to the armored scales it is thick and resembles hair somewhat from afar, but upon close inspection its composition of interlocking scales can be seen. This has not stopped Verric from managing to style his would-be dark brown hair, having a standard 3/4 parting and "combed" back, he also has a small goatee. His irises are yellow orange and have reptilian like slits when in a bright environment, but otherwise are normal in standard conditions.

Armor and Clothing Description

Verric typically wears normal clothes when out and about, button up shirts and jeans, or slacks depending on what he wants to wear. In the work place he wears heat resistant smith clothing, and gloves that are heat resistant, but not insulating as his natural armor allows him to easily handle hot metal.

When it comes to Armor he currently wears Steel Plate Armor, with Ceramics inside the plates for increased durability, he hopes to one day craft fantastic armor for himself from eithe Daemon-Steel or Dragon Bone. Armor Reference

Personality

Being an Abhuman gives him a different outlook on life in the NC, while he doesn't face any real prejudice in the NC, he understands what it is to be different from Humans, and he frequently associates with other Abhumans. He has a certain pride in being different as well as a sadness at their being so few of his kind. He is a hard worker and enjoys his craft, from tinkering with guns, to forging a suit of armor.

Weapons

• Volcano Pistol

The Volcano Pistol is an extremely robust and powerful pistol equivalent in power to a Lance Pistol, though it uses traditional ballistics. The Volcano pistol was developed by the Vulcans, the race of AbHumans that Verric is one of, it was developed before the Vulcans had reintegrated with the New Covenant and was designed specifically to deal with other Vulcans and other armored targets. Normal guns were ineffective against and armored Vulcan as many bullets were stopped by their skin after being slowed down by armor, the Volcano Pistol was a side arm meant to continue to penetrate after breaking armor. The Volcano pistol fires a large 30mm pistol round with a Magma Charge in the slug, the large round penetrates and shoots a high velocity stream of heavy molten metals into the target. The gun has heavy recoil, but its only really an issue for normal Humans, Vulcans being naturally stronger than humans. Th pistol can fire other kinds of rounds, but the preferred and standard shot is the Magma Round. For those without the strength to fire it, special arm braces can be bought to compensate for recoil.
