Well, I was more thinking about shields that aren't too heavy for a normal person to carry around all the time. You know, those who tend to be made out of wood, with maybe some bronze or steel coating depending on the era. Those aren't very good in the sci-fi setting. -Tobbs (talk)
I knew exactly what you meant. :P Even then though, if you made shields with certain allows thy would be dependable again, not against ranged weapons though depending on type, for that Power shields come into play. SenHai (talk)
